Wood Jewelry Box Help

While I was having my yard sale Saturday my neighbor put some free stuff out. I ended up with a watercolor and beautiful oil painting and this box. He said it was his grandfathers. It was strange he would give it away but he is moving and downsizing . Anyone have any ideas on the makers Mark?
