This relic was a pain in the butt to haul out of the woods! Rather large wood stove or maybe a furnace door. It's cast iron and measures 11" by 19". Any help as to what this door went to and how old it is would be appreciated.

Top of a parlor stove would be my guess. 1880's perhaps?

I think Ben has got it! A Google image search for 1880's stoves showed a few that had tops very similar to this one. Now I know how old this spot may be. Thanks!

Yep...I agree...some tops had areas they'd set pans on for cooking, like beans, etc.... we have a fancy wood stove, had one called a laundry/washer room stove-usually smaller & round or oval.
