I currently have a BH Quick Silver. I mostly coin shoot in parks, parking lots, etc. I would like to advance up a little and do more old site hunting. One problem. I'm a poor man. Lost my pension in the Enron implosion. (I am from Houston).

So....living on about $1300 a month you can see I have to be careful with money. Now the question.

Would it be worth my money to upgrade to the Garrett Ace 250? Is it that much better than the Quick Silver? I'm not looking for a review of either machine.... just if the Garrett would be an advance over the BH.

No!

Look at the Teknetics EuroTek Pro. It has some pretty cool features for the money. The Fisher F2 is nice for the money too but the EuroTek Pro is newer technology and runs on half the batteries.
