Would this be considered an error?

I found a dime where it looks like they ran out of copper (or whatever the copper colored layer of a clad dime is) as they were making it. I thought it was a silver dime at first when i saw the one side (completely silver colored). As you rotate the dime you can see where the one side has less of the copper colored layer. Here are some pictures (ignore my craggly hands).

Thanks for the replies. I guess I've just not paid as much attention to coins as I am now. Never noticed it nefore...

Since the correct answer was given by l.cutler, I will not elaborate further on your coin. I will suggest that if you are serious about learning to recognize errors, you familiarize yourself with all aspects of the manufacturing of coins. By knowing how coins are made, you should be able to more easily determine what is an error, and what is not.

I recommend STRIKE IT RICH WITH POCKET CHANGE, 4th edition, by Ken Potter & Dr. Brian Allen. It helps to break down what is a minor error not worth much to a pretty inclusive list of valuable major errors that collectors are looking for. This year I have found a 2014 rotated nickel I sold for $25, a State Quarter with cuds which brought $8, and a 1970 dime with a proof reverse which sold for $7. That's .40c out of my pocket and $40 back in so far this year. A loupe comes in handy also, good luck! Couldn't locate my scans for the 25c, but it was a Harper's Ferry with die cracks and cuds.
