Finally found one I can see a date. Not sure exactly what it is. A British coin? I just cleaned it with baking soda enough to get a date. 1752 004.webp1752 009.webp

Hi- from what detail I can make out, it looks to be George 2nd Halfpenny. if over an inch across. 275 ÂŁsterling in ef condition. If it's less than an inch, it is a george 2nd farthing- 225 ÂŁsterling. nice find!

congrats on such an awesome find!

Sweet Find! KG II, always good to find them with dates.

You know when I look at my post I have to laugh. With that date it could not be an American coin. We had not even signed the Declaration of Independence. There was no American coins in 1752! I am sure no big value but fun to find something that old. Must have been in the ground well over 250 years.

Always fun to find a 1700s coin. I've found a few Spanish silver and they beautiful. It's hard to believe anything in the ground that long can look so good. Congrats on a great find

It really cleaned up well. Of course I hit it with the trowel. Not the one in the center, that is an old wound. I nicked it on the left side. But, I will not part with it anyway.1752 015.webp1752 017.webp

I believe this to be a Regal KGII and not CFT. Nice find. Hogge

Man did that ever clean up nice. Congrats, Jersey Girl thats a real looker. Did you continue to use the Baking Soda to clean it?
