Detector(s) used
Garrett AT PRO x2 XP DEUS!

I walked out of the house on Thursday and walk into the cornfield to see how it was looking after getting 4 inches of rain...as I walked I had something catch my eye and sure enough a 1944 walking liberty half dollar was sticking out of the dirt only 1/4 inch down!! I was excited to say the least.

Knowing I detected this area 50+ times I threw my old detector in the trash and came home today with an AT Pro!:) and already found an old aluminum 25 cent play money coin!! And tomorrow I'm going to detect all day around my farmhouse which was built in 1854.

Congrats!!! Have a great time with the ATP and learn her language. I love mine!!! Get the 5x8 coil if you don't have it, the target separation will blow your mind! HH!

Awesome! Pics?

Very nice!!! Lets see some photos of those finds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! Big rain on a cornfield and the half dollars begin to sprout! :laughing7:

Seriously though, super find! :icon_flower::blob9::icon_flower: Andi

Nice eyeball find there. You could find some really nice stuff in that cornfield. I do not own the at-pro yet,but the praise has been awesome for it. Where do you live in this country? I would really like to have a demonstration of that AT PRO! Go back in there and find the rest.

Congrats on the eyeball surface find. The anticipation of the arrival of a new detector is a good feeling. I've seen many good finds from members that use that detector. By the way what was the make and model of your detector your throwing out? I'd keep it as a loaner or a back-up, just in case your new detector ever needs to get repaired or a buddy or relative is visiting when you get the urge to swing the coil.

I'm just south of grand rapids Michigan. And the old detector is junk, it was given to me and I used it to find broken t posts in fence rows. It's a cheap radio shack special. So I guess if someone would like to come out my way and dig up the million nails around my place with it, come on over! And I'm going to try and get some pictures

Nice find with the eye.

thats a good day.

Very nice!

And thanks for the advice. I just went out to my garden and planted three Rosies.

How long do you think until I can pick the Liberty?
If let it get ripe, will it be Peace?

Now you're talking Kyle! Get after that 1854 site with your new AT Pro and you'll be finding seated coins before you know it! Congrats on your walking liberty half! I've been wanting one of those for more than 2 years now with no luck!

I think I'm going out and water my lawn now! GL&HH!
