On my most recent hunt, I was fortunate enough to find my first artifact from World War I and I was ecstatic to have it!

However, this was pretty much all I was able to pull out of the ground...even after THREE DAYS of hunting. But, my lack of finds from one day to the next has never slowed me down in the past so I certainly wasn't going to let it get to me this time. Here is a quick video I put together of this hunt. At the end, I share a special message that I would like all of you to hear. It's about the sport of detecting. Enjoy!

I was wondering how you know that is a WW1 button? I had them on my USAF uniform in 1980. It can be that old but it can also be a lot newer.

The writing on the back reads "C. Kenyon Co. New York". When I looked this up, I found all sorts of information about this button saying that it is from World War I.

That helps. C.Kenyon made military buttons till 1930.
