Found this today while bottle digging. From my research I believe this to be a WWII 13th infantry regiment uniform button. Also just wondering how uncommon is this than the general service types?

Thanks for looking,

I think its a 13th Regiment, New York. The backmark was first used in 1890 and continued into the 20th century.

Thanks for the info smokeythecat. Anyone else know anything?

Just research the 13th NY Regiment, that should give you the rest.

Smokeythecat, I was just curious what war this could be from. Is it possible to have been used in the Spanish american war? How did you find out the years on the backmark? Thanks.

I found the button, one almost identical in Albert's button book and used the Bazelon and McGuinn book to nail the time frame. Its easy once you get all the reference manuals.
