WWii 50 Caliber Machine Gun Shell

I found a WWII 50 caliber Machine Gun shell casing (4 inches long) about 6 inch deep on Indian Rocks Beach here in west central Florida. According to the numbering on the firing pin end of the casing it was manufactured by the Remington Company in 1942!
