Xpointer Broke

So I guess I am testing Xpointers customer service. I got the xpointer in Aug and have had no issues. ..... Till Last night. While turning it on I held it up in the air as ususally and at 90 degrees the unit was on if i tuned it upright it shut off?... I have never dug or scrapped with it at all. I baby my toys aswell. So I got home and took the battery out and one of the battery contacts was gone. I am still on the original battery so I have never opened it since aug to place the battery in? well Ill keep ya posted and see how this goes.....

I have heard the same thing from other people. Story is that they know of the problem and are fixing for free. But that may be just the talk.

Good to know. I just bought a Makro, but I have been considering getting one one of these because my Garrett is about wore out, and I need a back up/loaner one.

I have an orange one and the negative contact broke off inside the unit also after a couple of battery changes, bad solder. I love this PP so much that I took it apart and soldered it back in place my self no more issues. I also just ordered another yesterday, I figure if a bad solder is the only problem with this PP I can repair that and keep rolling!!

Yeah. Some get rabid when something like that happens. It happens on $35,000 cars as well (something needs correcting). For how good it works, it's worth the effort.
