Hi DIxie Digger,

That's a BEAUT,

Sunspot Stealth I believe, I'm getting one also.
Is that the 4 or 5 foot handle, looks pretty long, love it.

What diameter handle will it accept,I've got a 6' Whitewood staff that might fit,.save myself 25 smackers.
How did you fasten magnets, and where can they be bought?

I like the idea of the handle coming apart like that. There are a few old swimming holes I know of that must be hiked to.
I will have a small backpack with Tesoro Tigershark broken down along with other essentials and use the handle as a walking staff.
I'll put a rubber bottom pad on staff/handle so it doesn't get chewed up
I think you diggin' just got a lot easier. That thing looks like a steam shovel......Good Hunting

the handle is 1 1/4 " thick and 4" long.i wish it was 5ft.i was going to order it without handle but as they told me there is some carving to the wood that makes it fit that bracket.its flat on the back so it fits flat against the mesh and grooves for the u-bolts to fit on the sides.Very well made Scoop! i put magnets inside to catch some of the metalic wire that fall through and drive you nuts! hope that answers your question. HH

the magnets are from Lowe's..they are the refrigerator stick on mag's..i just drilled out the little hanger and bolted through scoop.they are very strong mag's.whole thing weighs 6 lb 9 oz.i put a dog snap on top of handle and drag it behind me.helps to see where you have been too.

thats a nice scoop! now all thats left to do is to get to the beach! ;)
