The last couple of weeks of yard sales and auctions have been pretty good to me. Here's a photo rundown of the good stuff. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1504538434.285843.webp Nice 4 way switch railroad lamp all complete! ( before I cleaned it up) I paid $30 at a local Yard sale. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1504538543.760188.webp after the barn dust was removed.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1504538632.959418.webp $2.00 each for these vintage lawn games.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1504538686.613749.webp paid $1.00 for this little 14k Celtic claddagh pendant. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1504538753.954197.webp $4.00 for this cute little sterling ladle. .50 ozt. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1504538814.225597.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1504538823.288243.webp. $30.00 for the pair of early American coffin handle spoons. These will be part of my collection. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1504538891.982958.webp. This is the star of the show. (Before a good polishing) This is an English sterling scent bottle made by Sampson Mordan & Co circa 1891. Paid $40 for this at an auction yesterday morning. Some of these go for a few hundred to over a thousand dollars. The next few pics are after polishing. My wife and I attended our local country fair yesterday evening and saw this beautiful rainbow.

Wow! You got a good eye. And that scent bottle looks amazing. Im gonna stop by soon for a game of lawn darts.

Nice picks. Great job polishing the bottle. Must've been a real tough job.

The RR lamp is awesome. That would be a keeper for me.

Thanks!! It was really not to bad to do. A little time and had to be careful with the design work on the side.

I thought about doing that. It's all fun and games until someone pokes an eye! [emoji12]

I believe this is the eBay ploy to get around the no sale rule. You list the empty box and include the darts when you sell it.

I actually don't sell on eBay so I'm not worried about it. I may just sell them locally at my next yards sale. I'm pretty sure I'll keep a set for my self though.

I really like the early American spoons you find. Assuming those are coin silver? How to you go about dating stuff like that?

Your lawn darts... lol...we had a Fourth of July party last year and my son had to throw the dart about 8 feet in front of him to try to make it in the circle. He threw the damn thing on top of the roof. about 12 feet up in the air went and landed so far back it was ridiculous. My father-in-law about pooped his pants laughing. He was mad it went on the roof. And he was even more mad when I made him go up the ladder and get it off the roof! We still have them but don't play when he's around!

I remember the first sets actually came to a point. It's a wonder none of us ever got seriously injured.

Yes these are coin silver. This style started in the late 1790's to about 1810. A lot of the dating on coin silver spoons is all in the handle design. And sometimes the makers hallmarks.
