Modern Education?

Got out for a bit over an hour this morning, some clad and a knife, (again).

Found the first one, a switchblade, 3 1/2 inch blade, last weekend just laying on a grammer school field.
(ROSTFREI STAINLESS on the blade)

Second, 2 1/4 inch blade, "Valor Pony", Miami U.S.A.. Valor Pony is now made in Japan. This one was down about 2 inches. Had a hard time getting a good photo. Wood and Brass at both ends that needs to be cleaned. This one was on a High School field.

all have a good un.........

All,

my first thoughts were, "why are all the kid packing a knife."

But as I think about it more, a knife was a big thing even when I was a kid, so long long ago.

First one was probably with the tackle box for fishing; remember I also had one with a Cub
Scout shield on it. Also remember out back of the house and fancy knife throws in a circle
in the dirt; off the shoulder, off the knee, that sort of stuff. (Think it was called Mumbly Peg, or something like that; where did that name come from?)

I was always in trouble at school, so I'm sure I took one there to show the "other guys."

Honest, I keep telling myself, I was young once.

have a good un...........

If you are caught with any kind of knife at our Schools here and you are suspended zero tolerance.

Yea, worlds not what it used to be, can't bring knives or even lighters to school anymore :-\

Nice finds anyway. Keep up the good hunting.

mumbley peg was a big game in my backyard too. i think its called that because of the words mumbled by the loser as he was attempting to pull the peg out of the ground with his teeth. while all his friends would push his face deeper into the soil. laughing all the while. good game but you got to make sure you dont lose.

He pulls out a knife, you pull out a gun. He puts one of yours in the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. THAT'S the Shermanville way. ;D

Very nice! :)

Back in my high school, you could carry knives as long as the blade was 3" or less...
