Yesterday afternoon's blazing silver

Got permission to hunt a property from the 1850's. Finally, weather and schedule allowed me to get out for a couple hours. Although it rained the entire time, it was well worth it. Unfortunately not many targets, but scored this beauty. Managed to strike it with my digging tool or it would be almost perfect. A little water and dish soap and here she is...

That is in great condition! I enlarged the photos, and can't see where you hit it with your digger. Must be a pretty small mark, or is it on the edge of the coin?

Oh wow thats a beauty! Nice work

Congrats on superb coin! :icon_thumright: I'm turning green with envy, lol. You'll probably pull up more goodies from that spot, maybe in sunshine next time. Andi

Very nice barber!

Thank you! Yeah, I tried to capture the strike, but I could not get the right light to get the strike and condition of coin together. The strike is just under the "D" in "God" and runs down the head towards the eye. It hits the beginning of "Liberty". Although a light strike it still bummed me out.

What a beauty!!! I feel my first silver coming!!! PLEASEOHPLEASEOHPLEASEOHPLEASE!!!

Very nice recovery!
