Howdy all,
I haven't been doin bad at all. I have hit this new spot 2 days in a row hoping for silver or a better date coin. Well I haven't been disappointed. The 4 wheats are from the first trip. There is tons of trash in this yard but patience pays off. Today I didn't score any wheats but did get a buffalo. The date is almost gone but in the right light under magnification you can see 1914 and it has an S mintmark. So not bad at all on that one. Then I got the 1943s war nickel. I figured that was a good end to a nice hunt. I have standing permission to hunt anytime I want so I am in no hurry. I have only worked a small portion of the front, so who knows whats there. But all the signs are right. Happy Holidays to all.

That's a good haul! Still hunting in Georgia? All the old nickels I find (except war nickels) are brown and cruddy, so that buffalo is extra nice! Bound to be some more silver there!

Nope not Georgia. I'm back in Washington state. But still in good condition for this area.
