Got out early yesterday morning, nice early morning temps. By the end of the day the temps got warm. This is what I found in the cellar hole that I discovered several months ago while scouting area.
The Merc dime was found on the way to the site which is littered with old barns and out buildings. The first target was on the side of the cellar hole.
Not bad for a start I thought!
The next target I uncovered had shinny gold sparkling in the early morning light and I was sure it was a gold coin. Not so lucky. It was a highly gilted button. Next was the large 1820 cent.
than the 1862 Indian Nice and thick!
and so on...
check out this old button with raised letters. Some flats are just cool.
Got to go to work now. Its Saturday and I work on the weekends so I can play in the dirt during the week when most people are at work. Thanks for looking.
