I got out yesterday and today, yesterday I found another sword scabbard but it is in worse shape than my first one and broken in two, several outboard motor pieces and a bronze propeller lobe,3 railroad spikes and a few nails.

I found an outboard motor lower end complete with gears shafts and propeller,an odd bronze piece very close to the prop,7 lbs of sinkers and net weights,2 ships spikes a few very old nails, and parts to an anchor.

that is some major scraping :o nice recoverys!!! MR TUFF

thanks mr.tuff I have been trying to find the extreme edges of the old stuff and so far I keep running into small bits of it no matter how far I go. it may be that the ship hit the reef and started going to pieces all along it. I was hoping it was going to be a smaller search area but I now doubt that is the case. it may also be that after hitting the reef the crew had time to abandon ship and managed to save some of the cargo only to encounter hostiles and ended up losing everything anyway. right now that is my best guess.
