All Treasure Hunting
In the short time I've been detecting, I've learned to confirm...then celebrate.

Still, my heart raced a bit when I saw this good-sized coin smiling at me.

Mostly covered in dirt, I could see part of a face...a SILVER face.

The second I picked it up, I knew it was much too light.

1968 Shell Gasoline Mr. President Coin Game:
When a customer filled up, they were given one of these tokens to place in a special folder.
If they got so many presidents in a row, they won prizes.

Not a silver coin, but a neat advertsing relic, nonetheless.

Happy Hunting!

I remember those too from 1968 -- they also had some marked "Instant Winner." I remember winning a bronze set of all the presidents -- God only knows where it is! Nice find!

Hey Indiana, I found one of those too this summer, Mine was of Roosevelt. Good find.

I remember we used to have the same coins given
away at Shell gas stations here when I was a kid.
Of course our coins depicted past Canadian Prime Ministers. :laughing7:
