No doubt Hodgdon has been one of the most innovative companies with powder for the reloaders. Just the Leverevolution alone has brought a many an old Marlin and Winchester levergun back into active status.:icon_thumleft:

I Know a lot of folks on this site are shooters and maybe load their own as I do, but it's crazy how something I used to just run out to the local gunshop or range and pick up has become so scarce these days.I quess it's a sign of the times. Anyways I plan on doing some detecting this weekend and hopefully i'll have something good to post for guys.

Maybe you can find some old lead to melt down to make sabots with to go with the Hodgdon Powder you found!

I work as sales manager for a gun range and do most of the ordering. When a customer wanted ammo, primer, powder or bullets the choices were overwhelming just a year or two ago. Thanks to Obummer it is almost impossible to even get .22lr ammo now. It has eased up a little bit but the Homeland Security order for 1.6 billion dollars worth devastated us. That is 20 rounds for every man woman and child in the USA. The Government purchase was just for a few LE and military calibers but completely sucked up all the components for manufacturing and reloading sporting calibers. I just pray America wakes up and leaves the party loyalty mentality and looks at what this administration has actually done to this country by circumventing our Constitution and directly infringing on our 1st, 2nd, and 4th amendment rights not to mention the financial devastation. The NSA, and IRS actions alone should result in a complete removal and imprisonment for those involved.:BangHead:

You can have the powder. I want that 'Stang in the background . . .

Sorry man, just had to do it! :laughing9:

Sweet, I reload as well, when I have time! HH

Nice powder find Mr.b. I used to do cowboy action shooting(CAS) back when off the shelf ammo was reasonably priced. My pistols and lever gun were .45 Colt and ammo was plentiful. That was all pre Nov. of 2008, then the you know what hit the you know what. I tried my hand at reloading, but pretty much sucked at it and I didn't enjoy it at all. I ultimately stopped CAS and sold my reloading equipment. That was when I got back into metal detecting ( I did it briefly in the early 80's) as my retirement hobby and am enjoying myself immensely. Oh yeah, by the way, that pony car is beeeootiful. I would love to have something like that to cruise around in.

awesome mustang. I used to have a '68. I loved that car
