You know you're not going to find silver when...

You know you're not going to find silver when your leaving the bank and the teller says "Good luck finding silver!" with a BIG smile on her face :'( Called a bank and they told me they had $340. Went there and that's what the teller told me as I was leaving. Yup I got 0 silver from that bank and no keepers. But I hit another bank on the way home and picked up $100 and found a 1982 no FG ;D My second error coin!

Stick it to them. Make them your dump bank and dump as much as you can there.

i recently went to some banks upstate last time i went to visit my parents. asked a teller for any halves and she said "there all clad are you sure you want them" and as shes putting them on the counter i could see silver. she had no idea about 40% halves. i just smiled at her and said sure ill take them anyway.

40% are also generally called clad.
I love it when they only think the 90% are worth anything.

My thoughts exactly. I'd take them back to the same bank. And laugh at them on the way out............to grab another bag to dump on them.

That bites W. I agree with the others......dump bank. Congrats on the no initial 82.

I'd love to make this a dump bank but it's an hour away.

I believe I have read that there are at least the following list of "no FG" Kennedys: 1972-D, 1973, 1982-P, 1983-P, 1990-P, and at least one of the 40%'ers (1966 I think).

I have a bank where I know I will never be getting any old currency from. They have tellers who collect and also friends of tellers who are obviously higher priority than me. I don't take offense because if I was in their position, I would be doing the same thing.

Well, I search through $2,000 to $4,000 per week in $2 bills. I've started using that bank as my dump bank for $2 bills. I don't know about their teller supervisor, but I don't they can justify ordering $2 bills with that many being cashed in every week.
