I am sure this topic has been posted before BUT to date, what has been your best day detecting?
I am just talking about the time you were out detecting and found either a single awesome target OR if you happen to find multiple targets that would make this your best outing.
Here is my best day:
It started out with a 1923 Buffalo nickel.
I walked over to the adjacent field for a bit and hit on this low tone. I about fell over when I flipped the plug and shiny gold glimmered in the sun light. It was a ring. An 18kt gold ring.
A few swings after I caught my breath, I got a quarter hit, flipped the plug and saw Lady Liberty facing left with Braided Hair 1849.
I have had a few more great days (and horrible days) after this day but had never had one this good. I hope to be able to post a better one soon.
