Here is a find, that is one of my first. A Cell Phone. I was detecting an old park in Southern
Michigan and came across this cell phone near the swings.

I tried to call someone on the phone, but no phone service. I even tried calling the dad's phone
number on the phone, it said he wasn't taking any calls at this time. Duh!!!

So, I took it to the towns police station and told them where I found it and left it with them. I hope the owner is found.

Well, that's my big find for the week. LOL Oh, I did find a Silver quarter and a silver rosy and a few wheat pennies, but all were so worn from the water action in the rocks of the lake that I found them in, that I didn't take any pics of them.

I felt sure that you would do the right thing with the phone Denny. I found a pager one time while hunting a U.S. CW Camp. I had no idea who the unit belonged to and the battery was dead. I mailed it back and the company sent me $25. fortunately, that was before Dman started to relic hunt or I would have had to buy his lunch (again). HH my friend and that plate may just be there in Virginia for you to dig in late October, Quindy.

Thanks Quindy, I tried to call the father on the phone, but no service. I was just visiting the town, so I knew I had to take it to the police station. I hope they got it back to it's owner.

I hope you are right about the CW plate, it would be an awesome find for me and a great addition to my collection. I sure could use it for the metal detecting talks I give. The bullets you sent me are a great addition also.

Thank You my Friend,
Denny
