Finally got everything cleaned up from this week's amazing hunt. Ended up putting in a little over 10 hours in three separate hunts. Unfortunately after the first 6 hour hunt that netted the most, by the time I could get there the following day they had already spread a layer of base coat over the vast majority of the lot. But I was able to pull a few more keepers out of the area that they had not covered up to that point. I may go back in a day or so and chase every iffy deep signal to see if there's anything left in that small area. Turned out to be one of my best hunts ever. I was able to double my silver count for the year which brought me to 38 silver coins year-to-date.

Holy cow .. that is some serious coin shootin' :walk:

Nice hunt. What years did you dig up ?

Awesome!!! Congrats!!!

awesome haul! congrats

Looks like a fun 10.5 hours of detecting. Paid off with some nice keepers and a nice amount of coins. Congrats

That's some fantastic diggin'. The totals are over the top. Congrats!

Very nice recoveries. I like to watch for sidewalk and road tear outs here because that can be a great place to hunt. Back home in Pa I watch too, but they never tear out the old blacktop. They just pave over it. What a bummer.

That's a pretty great silver to wheat ratio!
I usually average around 5 wheats to a silver. Were you cherry-picking or is that just a ritzy zoo?
Great haul for the time put in. Congrats!

Yes I was cherry-picking the first hunt which lasted 6 hours. Two reasons why, I knew my time was limited and there was a thin layer of asphalt and compacted gravel that I had to chisel through to get to each target. when I showed up the following day they had already spread a layer of base coat over 75% of the area. I hunted a couple of more times for a little over two hours each time. I did chase a few more iffy signals, but because the ground was so hard in the digging was so time consuming I tried to focus on only repeatable signals. I have no doubt in my mind they covered up a good amount a very desirable targets.

Congrats Dan! There's so much great stuff coming out of the ground, this spring, that I must sound like a broken record by now but BANNER!

The secondary roads in my county have been paved over so many times the shoulders are 6-8 inches below the road surface. Some of these were colonial and even corduroy roads long ago. I wish no one ill will but sooner or later there's gonna be a bad accident and they'll have to strip them down to the original base.

BOO HOO HOO HOO HA HA HA!

Great finish Dan, nice pile of wheats & silvers & nice YTD total. congratulations on all
