✅ SOLVED Zouave association?

I found this watch chain not to far from a colonial plantation.I know that southern and northern troops where there.I was wondering if anyone might have a idea if it has any association with Zouave troops.The reason I am wondering is because of the ball style button.

Hard to tell from the photos, but if those are split rings as they appear in the photo, they post date the Civil War.
