Just heard on the news that a somewhat major dam broke somewhere in the Phoenix area. Anyone hurt? is it worth while to come down and prospect the dry washes? Where about's did this happen?

The dam in question is the Tempe town lake inflatable dam.....it sits in a river bottom......one of the big air bags blew out at the seam.....when inflated the rubber air bladders are about 14' high..... they are designed to be inflated or deflated when the normally dry river flows.....no matter if it broke or failed no life was ever in jeopardy...... the repair will take about 3 weeks.....and should be filled back up shortly after that......
