8)Used my new 1280x yesterday ;my first good shakedown hunt.Bottom line:I am in love!!!Simply blows my old Surfmaster2 away -sensitivity,performance-everything.Went to a river in a park here in Michigan yesterday-found pennies 12 inches deep, found a bunch of clad and a DINKY TOYS cast lead toy truck made in England,olive-drab green, probably been in the river 40 years, looks like WW2,wasAT LEAST 16inches deep in the sand! :oSaturday,I am headed to a private beach club for some serious detecting-3 lakes,2 beaches,100+acres,been in use for 100+years ;) :D :oI will let ya know how I did when I get back on the 18th.

I wish I had a picture of all that my 1280X has found. No doubt the most profitable machine I've ever had. My only complaint would be that it stinks in salt water. In fresh water, I could not even describe how much I love that thing. It's almost 15 years old now and still finds the lions share of my treasure. Good luck and try not to wear it out! HH! Chris
