I went out this morning for a few hours and worked my butt off for less than 50 cents in clad. Decided to drive a little further for the evening low tide. I used google earth to select the spot and got there an hour before low tide. I had plans of hunting well into the night after being skunked the last couple hunts. I had a good feeling about the beach as soon as I got there....there were lots of good cuts. I went straight to a troff cut from just below the high tide mark all the way to the break water.....not one signal. I worked every low spot I could find in the area and managed a couple junk rings, crap earrings and a few fishing sinkers. I was on my way back to the car and I had to pass the first troff I checked. The sand was moving so fast I decided to check it again. I got a very faint signal and dug it......I believe the words " No way " jumped out of my mouth.

Its marked 14K. It appears there are a couple stones missing......but :headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:

I hope all the stones are real!

gotta love those faint signals on the Sand Shark usually something good! My Sand Shark let me down with some coil wire issues recently. I am going to send it in but when I saw the tides on Monday I decided to re-wrap the coil wire and try my luck. It paid off with 2 silver rings> Still going to send it in for look! Great looking ring! I am thinking one more hunt before I send it in!

With finds like that I would vote for the Sand Shark for President too. It's doing a better job than the one we have now. :laughing7:

Just an update. I took the ring in to be tested this morning. Told my kids I would take them to the water park if it was real. Sorry for the poor sound.....I was using an IPOD.

Dude you really should take the kids to the water park more often. That was funny. Congrats!! Maybe next week you'll be on your way to Disney!

That had to look really good in the scoop.

It looked dam good in the scoop.....killed my hunt though. I was going back to the car to get a drink and get my head light. After I found the ring, I couldnt concentrate on much else......had to call it a day. I'm going to have the 3 missing baguettes replaced. Once I get it back, I'll have to figure the best way to turn it into cash.
