Tip I learned a long time ago is that every time I update anything MS related, it one way or another, messes up something. I wind up getting P.O.and hating MS more and more.

Change for the sake of change is moronic, and unproductive.

Well, I didn't change just for the sake of change, Montauk3..... my computer was slowing down to an unbearable level; also, I noticed a message at the top of this forum for several weeks suggesting that the browser I was using be upgraded for more effective use.

Moderator has given an explanation for the pic problem in a post above.

All is fine now...pics are coming through

I did not in any way mean to imply that you were moronic or anything else.

My rant was about the M.S. policy of "improving" things until those things aren't worth anything.

I wonder why M.S. is still supporting 7. Could it be because so many folks complain about 8?

I repeat, no offense implied or meant.

Montauk: A breakthrough and change is required when the pain of continuing as things are becomes to great
Lorraine: Thank you for the picture with the DTI numbers glued to the target indicator, That's a great idea!

Sorry for not being able to post earlier.
Just got back from being held for $200 Ransom by scammers (another reason for changes in operating system.
They locked up my computer with demand to pay $2000 to them as fine for violation of US Code: IIRC illegally copying software, cheating on taxes paid to IRS, looking at girly pictures and would not unlock my computer till fine was paid.
Theese were hackers, as I could not bring my system up (Windows 7) and had to reformatt the hard disk and rebuild all software.
It is also big, as when I called the computer hospital, they informed me that they were back logged correcting the problem.

Thank you, Sir Gala Clad,

It was my generous brother Ray's idea ; he gave me the meter , adjusted it for me , and arranged those numbers.

I tried using the meter for a few months, but decided that I preferred to use my own hearing ..I dig almost everything , anyway.

Maybe someday I'll try this meter again, but for now, it's stashed away in a drawer

Sorry about that computer hacker ..I hope that the problem will be resolved ASAP

Microsoft announce Windows 8 rework in 'biggest product U-turn since New Coke' - Independent

In what has been described as the biggest admission of commercial failure for a major product launch since “new Coke” was withdrawn 30 years ago, Microsoft is to overhaul Windows 8, the software update which prompted a backlash from customers who found it impossible to navigate.

Hi Montauk,:hello:

No, I know that you were in no way referring negatively to me.

Thanks for the input on MS ; I have Windows 7 at this time. Don't know much about computers, but I'm learning day by day.

Good luck out there...bring home the gold!

Lorraine
