hit the beach a little after 7am an within 30 mins, got the watch in about 1 ft of water its a Bulova 98t87 ( retail 109.00 ), its in perfect shape.next low tide was around 5:30 pm an so I hit the water 1 more time an pick up the 10k ring. its 2 tone. I spent the whole day at the same beach an saw 14 other people detecting thru the day.I was suprise to find anything with so many people, but they again about 1/2 the people I saw didn't have a clue what they were doing or didn't have the right machines for the job at hand.1 guy was swinging with his coil at least 1ft or higher off the ground, another couple came by with machines that had maybe a 5" coil,( sort of small for beach work, an 1 guy hunting in the water near by was using a Viper an never did see him dig anything up.

Pretty nice haul you made there. I wonder about the poor souls that I see that don't seem to have a clue what their doing. Most don't care and just go by guess and by golly. I showed one guy how to detect with the coil level with the sand and he went on his way swinging like a grass whip.

I can't use a PI much anymore because I can't dig all them holes anymore. Nice finds Seas.

I've hunted a little over on St. Pete Beach and have just come up with lots of junk. A few coins, and some iron in the water but not much worth anything. I'm using the back up Viper until my Sandshark gets back from a repair.

What beach area are you hunting at? I've thought of going up to pier 60 in Clearwater, that looks like a good spot.

Seas, nice finds there. Way to go!

I see other hunters speed walking the beach like they only have 15 mins to walk 5 miles.

I know I'm a newbie, and haven't found that much, but at least I know enough to walk slow, keep my coil level to the ground and I try to keep the coil no more then 1" off the ground. I also over lap my swings both forward and side to side. I know my Excal will let me know if something is there.

Good Hunting ;)
