Got in four hours of wet sand hunting with Bigmike on the East coast. Was digging red and green dimes and quarters when I got a solid mid tone on my CZ21. I got the target on the third scoop and dumped the sand and spread it with my foot. I saw the silver colored ring and picked it up and washed it in the hole. That's when I saw the big 2 carat rock shining in the sun. I said "Whoaa, it must be white gold or platinum"...my ship came in...but it quickly sank when I saw the .925 mark. So looks like I got a silver ring with a big CZ....GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE.

Nice find man.
Best of luck with your pie in the sky
Yeah, at least I have a chance...until I get it tested and I think I know what the results will be.

Is that dirt on the surface of the stone that's showing up in the pics? Also the setting gives it a good chance of being real. Nice heavy prongs are a good sign. I got my diamond tester and precious metal acid kit from ebay for around $30 shipped. Definitely worth it. And hear is hoping it's real !!

The black spots are on the bottom of the stone where its hard to clean...the stone is clear.

I eyedballed a hunker like that on a sidewalk. Turned out junk but it sure makes your heart go pitty-patter! Good luck.

Being totally clear doesn't look good. Check it under a loupe for any inclusions

The problem is finding inclusions when the bottom of the stone is marred by grit and oxidized silver.

This is at dallas love field airport! Ensuring you'll find some crappy Jewlery at a beach or lake near you!

At least you can scrap the silver!!

There have been cases of real ice mounted on silver. Check the stone carefully!

When I first saw it I said the same thing "you know they put real diamonds in silver sometimes". Some women are allergic or just don't like gold. It is in a nice heavy setting and in the sun at the beach that stone has fire in it too. Can't wait to check it out.

Seeeoooo close. But no bananna. Yet you gotta love set sand conditions when the older-looking clad is popping up. It tells you mother nature is grouping older/heavier targets in your zone :)
