I "NAILED IT" ON THE WAY HOME FROM WORK TODAY

Far, Far Away
I'm still pinching myself as I'm posting this find. In my 20 or so years of metal detecting, this has to be my best find to date and I've found some incredible stuff. I stopped off for a quicky on the way home from work at a not so exciting spot. The beaches are all sanded in pretty much and I've been just hunting for fresh drops and it has been pretty slow going. I was getting nothing and I really mean nada, not even junk. I was thinking, well somebody must have already cleaned the area out before I arrived. then I hit this incredible find. It was a broken signal because it was open as shown in one of the photos. I saw it in the scoop and thought it was some kind of childs toy. When I held it in my hand and looked at it closer I realized it was a piece of jewelry. Of course I thought it was some piece of gawdy costume jewelry and stuck it in my pocket. I got a few more bottle caps in one spot and called it quits. When I washed up and put my gear away, I got out my loop and then I saw the fine print...I've included a photo. I'll stop babbling now and give you the specifics. It is a Cartier yellow gold bracelet, diamonds included. 30.4 grams of 18k gold in the shape of a nail. I'll hold my breath as I later check "craigslist" lost and found to see if anyone is seeking...Yes, I will stop babbling on for now. I'm glad to be able to share this blessing with everyone.

That's incredible!! I haven't seen a price of less than $10,200 for a bracelet matching the one you found.

Holy Cow! Awesome find. I'm amazed at the retail price on that thing, too. Amazing! I nominated it for Banner.

Banner or no banner, whats the difference. My wife gave me a banner:censored: when I finally said she could
have it because nobody reported it missing. Case officially closed.
P.S. She's really getting spoiled though, the last couple of rings I found, she says "those are nice, but they don't have any diamonds on them"...
