Well I got one of the hand sand scoops dirt cheap so I thought I rig up something to just get me in the water. This East Texas heat is brutal and the ground is like concrete.

Well the scoop was an idea and worth a shot but it didn't stand a chance for the lakes in East Texas. Packed Sand, Hard Silt and Clay finished it off fairly quickly.

I've done my research and it looks like I'll be in touch with Stealth in the coming weeks. Quality and Warranty seem to be the best, and I really like the hybrid with the rugged option. 720i is looking good!!

Happy Huntin Folks!!

Would have to give you a 'A' for effort on the try......the 720i which I have just purchased a couple of months ago seems to really do the work...

Good Luck !!

That's awesome! I did that exact same thing with my first scoop. It was a galvanized Garrett hand scoop with an ax handle U-bolted to the scoop. I used it til it rusted out. Then my next scoop was a Stealth 920! Big difference.

Another vote for the Stealth 720i! I will never buy any other scoop but the Stealth but I probably won't have to unless it was stolen.

I have two Stealth scoops and I love both. One 90 and one 20. I also bought an extra travel scoop handle. I only scoop in the spring and late fall anyway. They are lightweight tanks!
