(WINK, here) Peaks of Otter is in Bedford County, Va., on the Blue Ridge Parkway (VIRGINIA). SHARP TOP is the "sighting point" for MOST surveyors, and Flat Top has a NICE trail; wife & I "over-night" at the Lodge there, occasionally The OLD Mons Valley up there has a WONDERFUL history, and Peter Viemeister (RIP) wrote an EXCELLENT book on it... THE PEAKS OF OTTER: LIFE AND TIMES. The OLD road is STILL there, yet has been "straightened out" to Rt. 42 NORTH. Sharp Top is aka MOUNTAIN OF GOD to wife & I, VERY relaxing & INSPIRING! Beale Treasure? NAW. MORE important things to do! LOL! (WINK).
