This is one I own, bought all 3 pieces which included the probe.

This is a uniprobe, a type of pinpointer that I own, adjustable from 1\2 inch to 6" depending on soil.

Thank you th now I know what it looks like, but what does it do. I think it is a method for finding bottles. Am I wrong? How does it work? How much does it cost? Etc

Ones I showed are for metal detecting, probing in the ground to find target. I do not dig plugs, I locate target with detector, pinpoint it with pinpointer, use probe to touch target and then work it to surface using tiny diggers in my picture above.

When I finish there is no sign I was ever there 90% of the time. I'm not a relic hunter so i don't dig iron relics......

Bottle probes are much longer 4-6 ft.....
