With the temperatures being so ridiculously hot lately, I've been walking the river which is extremely low. And I have found some interesting finds. But this is the best find I have found in a while. It's an op Lyon's kathairon new York bottle. I never find pontil bottles in the water. I'm pretty psyched about this one. Anyone have any info on this bottle? Other finds will be posted soon river scum is hard to clean. Thanks for looking. - Justin

Unreal, what an awesome find! If I recall correctly it's a hair treatment of some sort.

Great bottle, and it really cleaned up well. Amazing how it survived any amount of time in a river bed.

Well...considering its embossed "Lyon's For the Hair". I would have to agree. :)

Oh wow it says it right there, haha! Oops, 'didn't enlarge that picture!

I wonder how far this one traveled downstream. I wonder if it was a lone throw or if there's a very nice dump somewhere way upstream...

I believe this bottle washed out from an undercut in the bank. I'm heading back out to that spot this afternoon

Good idea. Even if you find some shards that are around the same age, there's a good chance that something's gotta be nearby.

I feel like lone flasks and beers and sodas would be more common in a river because people drink by the water. A hair treatment to me says there's a chance that it was dumped somewhere with other stuff.
