So this this morning I packed up my detector and headed out to the carriage Rd I found last week. I spent about three hours detecting the old homestead site I found bottles last weekend. And it paid off. Except the bugs are already horrible . So here's the take I found a beautiful general staff button which I think could be civil war era. I also found my first Spanish silver it's very worn but think it's a half reale. I also found a very nice 1892 barber dime and a handful of flat buttons. So instead of moving to the next hole I decided to dig out the barn foundation I was poking around in last weekend. That's when I recovered an awesome pontil bottle. Could it be a sauce bottle or some kind of med ? I also found a hell of a crier probably an early new England blackening bottle which will go nicely with my collection of other broken utility bottles. Lol. This has been the best treasure hunting day I have had in a while. Thank you for looking and the help.- Justin

Wow, what a great day you had Justin. The pontil bottle is pretty cool. How tall is it? The cryer is just that- a cryer! Sorry you couldnā€™t get that one whole. Would like to know what that was. Maybe a gin? I havenā€™t gotten my half reale out to compare it to yours but thatā€™s probably what you have. Compare it to a dime, it should be just slightly smaller. Great find and welcome to the Spanish silver club. Oh, and anytime you get a barber dime itā€™s a good day. I think ā€˜92 was the first year of the barber. Great finds Justin. You may have to show the button in the Todayā€™s Finds to get a proper ID ? I think you have a new place to hunt. Thereā€™s no telling what lies in the depths of that privy(s)

Great day indeed! The aqua cylinder is probably a food bottle, likely a sauce as you mentioned. You done good, brother.

Thank you bass . The cylinder bottle is approximately ten inches tall. And the crier I believe was probably a blackening bottle or some kind of utility. And the Spanish silver spring s definitely smaller then a dime. I just wish I could get a year off of it. But he'll I'm psyched about it

An example of what it probably looked liked, dependending on the mint date
