Greeting folks.......
My status is easy..BEGINNER... Smile

I reside in Waterloo, Ontario and have spent the last ten years at my recreational property North of Sudbury. While there I spend a ton of time atving and exploring the country side.

During these explorations, I have stumbled across numerous old hunting and lumber camps and cabin sites back in the bush, some were the just structural remains, some just old metal stove parts and things like that...

I would very much like to start exploring what is hidden below the ground at these old sites. I would like recommendations on a unit for such exploration??

Price $800.00 to $1200.00
Waterproof to shallow depths ( able to work through surface water).

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

i have the garrett at pro. i like it. its water proof to 10 feet so the whole thing can be fully submerged not just the coil like some.
its a good all round detector. i picked it up a few years ago for 700$ . and i just picked up the garrett pro point AT ( so the water proof also up to 10feet) which was 150$ here in canada.

but thats just what i use. im sure some one else will chime in and tell you about another brand.
