I had a bunch of old copper tubing and cooling tubes in my garage. I work for the utility company, and bought the whole mess for 68 bucks about 11 years ago (it was a bad case of "I could use these for something"itus.

Anyway, I finally concluded that I would never use these for anything, so I went to the local scrap yard...and walked away with over 500 bucks!

Add to that, they were crushing cars, so the little guy (OK, and me also) got entertained for a while watching the crusher do its thing.

Gave the little guy 100 bucks for being a good helper, and he immediately said he wanted to convert some of it into silver. Not too bad for a 9 year old!!

All in all, a good day.

Happy hunting everyone.
