$500 in Dimes 8/3/11

Just started dimes, since halves are slow. Yesterday got one box, and it produced 1 Merc and 3 Roosies. So I figured maybe I could go back to the same bank and get a few more, and hope for the same results.

Nope, SKUNK and SKUNK.

If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck!

Keep it up and you'll find more goodies. Your Merc was a good find. I have not found one of those yet in my roll searches. Also, I'm new so I'm not familiar with how to pull previous posts from folks but I notice in your 2011 totals you found a standing liberty quarter. Was that also in a roll? I have never found one of those period, not even medal detecting.

Your average is still about right on. If you want 100 silver dimes, you'll have to search $15,000 worth. Like they say, it's all about volume with dimes.
