Nice little silver!
A question to all American halves searchers: Is the colour of 90% silver half-dollar significantly differs form colour of 40%'er?
In Canada, I observed that 50% silver dimes were having more orange-yellow hue, when compared to 80% silvers.

The 90% is alot brighter than a 40 %.There's a noticeable difference

Canadian Hunter , From my experience , the 90% generally will be a bit whiter, however -
I cannot tell you how many times I saw a big fat white edge - and thought 90%-er for sure
only to be surprised by a 40%-er , so there's no absolute rule here . Argentium.

Thanks guys on that clarification. Thus, I think it mostly depends on how tarnished or dirty the half-dollar is.
