Newbie's First Boxes

Hey everybody. New guy here decided to join after days of reading posts. Got my first boxes yesterday, 1 each of pennies, nickels, and dimes. Pennies were a bust, a complete box of 2011. Nickel box produced 3 war nickels, which I was happy with. The dime box produced nothing (unless you count 27 2009 rosies. I think I might have fallen for a newbie joke). Anyway, great to be here and I hope to learn a lot from ya'll.

I don't date search dime boxes but 27 '09's sounds like a lot from one box.

And 3 silver nics from one box is real good also.

To avoid getting ALL NEW coins , I ask the teller to look through the holes on top of the box to make sure that they are not all new coins (or do it myself) before accepting. They don't seem to object.

Do 2009 dimes still fetch a premium? I know they did for a good while.

Thanks for the advise guys, and it IS an addiction. I find myself checking every coin I receive in change before it goes into my pocket. hahahaha.
