Skunked again today, but came home with more money than I left with.
Well I searched some halves today and didn't find anything good. Close to a 2 month skunk streek already. As I was in my apartment complex coming home from a movie I found $10!
Anyway, for you people searching in Southern CA, have you guys been finding much lately? I can't seem to find anything lately. Hopefully you guys are getting some good stuff. I was kind of thinking with silver dipping so low that the people around here who flip their coins right away would take a break for a while until the market picks back up, and there might have been a slight increase in finds, but boy was I wrong.
2013 running total:
Oldest coin find of the year (and overall) 1858 flying eagle
total silver oz x 27.53678

I was thinking the same, but it wasn't true.
1/100 of an American dollar is a cent. It is NOT a penny. The word penny is used by several other countries, such as Great Britain, to denote their smallest denomination. In order to be numismatically correct, you must use the term cent to describe the American coin.
