Todays Picking Trip yields a 95 Year old coin in a CWR
Went Picking today with my good friend and my dad to some flea markets and a few antique malls over in western illinois to find some cool bottles and stuff to flip on feebay. We had stopped in Savannah, ILL to check out a shop (ended up being closed) and saw a small bank. So we decided to go in and get some rolls. I asked for halves and they said they had $10 and I asked if I can get pennies or Nickels and they said they were low on nickels but could give me $20 in pennies. So they pulled out some CWR's and got me a box and I left. After I got home, I checked the halves, SKUNK. Had marks on the roll. Well we started on the pennies and here were the finds:
$6.94 FV copper
1954 D Wheatie
1975 Canadian
1993 Canadian
1944 Wheatie
1949 D Wheatie
1960 P x2 BU
1963 D BU
1964 D AU
1960 D SMALL DATE
And the best of them all:
1917 P Wheatie!
This is my second 90 year old + coin of this week. If only I had this luck with Nickels and Halves.
