Almost Whole Roll Of Silver

I hit three banks today & purchased a total of about $900 halves. Out of the whole lot I got only 32 40% silver coins and one roll had 17 in it alone!!! I was not expecting that in one roll but pleasantly surprised.

Take that roll away and I didn't do to well. Gotta keep plugging though.

I'd say that's a pretty good first effort! Good job. My first box I got 2 40% and 6 proofs, and have had some that were a lot worse than that!

The last 500.00 halves box I brought home I found 1- 90 percent, 4 -40 percent and one proof. I'd say you did just fine. Just remember that's alot of silver that you have today and didnt have yesterday. congratulations.

You did real well. Even taking away the 17 in the one roll you still did not do bad. I have had about half a dozen times I have picked up 2 boxes and gotten skunked.

I dunno about everybody else, but I save mine for when silver hits it's next all time high. Or my son goes to college, whichever comes first.

Hadn't really thought about it yet. I haven't collected enough yet to think about it. I will probably just save them for my grandchildren I reckon.

I have a little silver, some dimes, earrings, a few rings, etc, and haven't a clue what I am going to do with them. Maybe come up with some kind of contest and give them away here on the forum? You can't melt coins down anymore, but I guess you can still sell them for spot. Dang, I'm answering my own question that = talking to myself= senior moment = old fart syndrome! Monty
