I’ve decided to hunt quarters for silver. Even though halves are better. There is just something about finding a silver quarter in circulation.
I know they are more scarce. But I’m interested to see how many I can pull in 1 years time.
From June 2018 to June 2019 I’m going to see how many I can pull. I will post results and how much I search through. Wish me luck! :))))

The nice thing about quarters is banks don’t mind getting tons of rolls of them. So if you re roll them there easy to get rid of. The banks around my part love quarters because they go through so many.

I’ve noticed that what you’re saying is true. That’s the good part. It’s definitely better than the looks I get from bringing in boxes of halves, that’s for sure lol

Keep the Bicentennials - you can sell them by the roll for a small premium.
I'd be interested in your bicentennial stats too. I usually find 1 per $40 or so.
About five years ago, my wife brought 20 rolls of AU Bicentennial quarters home from work. I went through ‘em looking for silver, none. I listed them on Craigslist best offer over face. No bites for a month, I ended up dumping them.

In 2017, I searched $49,150 in quarters...49 $1000 bags and the rest in rolls. I found 26 silver Washingtons and 2 silver proofs.

So far in 2018, I've searched $41,000 in quarters, all in bags I get from my banks machines. I've found 26 silver Washingtons, 1 Silver proof, and 1 silver Canadian quarter.

It's worth it to hunt the bags, but I can't do the boxes. Of course, I would check the CWRs too...if I could ever find any.

Good hunting!

Just wow.
If you think about it. Your #s are pretty good. 1 silver per around 1500.
Sure it’s a lot to go though just for 1 coin. But who cares

I live in a big city(Houston). So hopefully that will help my #s. I have this one bank I like to go to, I’ve searched only about 1200 in quarters over time, founded 3 silvers.

Guy!!!! I just found my first silver quarter of the year! And guess what, it’s an ender in a MWR

I’m in shock!
Here’s the pics.
I noticed the D mint mark on the back of the coin and flipped out!!!

A silver quarter ender has to be the rarest type of ender out there...congrats!

Good luck! it would drive me nuts knowing I would be spending that effort with little to no return. But I understand the challenge part completely.

I have been thru about 3k worth of quarters and never found Silver, did find a ton of Proof coins. The ironic part is, I think I have found about 10 of them in the Coin Stars

We all know it’s cheaper to buy the silver, but what fun is that? It’s the thrill of the hunt, period.
Nice wild silver!

You pick a hard road to travel with qtrs, but more power to you. Keep at it, sooner or later a possible dump in the CWR's.
