    Walking Liberty Halves

There is a pawn shop here that has 14 Walking Liberty Halves and 5 Franklin Halves for sale. They are asking 320 for them all. That works out to about 16.80 a piece. They are circulated and I don't think in my humble opinion that they are worthy of grading. What is the going rate for old silver like this? What would be a good offer?

Depends on the present price of silver, but I would guess about five or six dollars each if they are circulated common dates.

10 times face or $5.00 each, maybe 10 1/2 times face as silver has moved up a bit! Any key dates like 1938 D?

my local coin shop is asking for $16.50 a piece for morgan dollars and peace dollars circulated. So idk if that is a good deal or not. I would assume walking liberty halfs would cost less then the morgans and peace dollars. But that is just what I think.

I had figured paying about 11 times face value. They just want too much for them. Thanks everyone.

I just bought some 1/2 libs (13) and 1/2 Ben's (7) of e-pray and even with the shipping 20 coins cost me about $130 . No key date but most are spread out and only a couple of repeats.

That would be a reasonable offer. I'd go back and make that offer if you want them. Pawn shops usually know the actual value of this sort of item, though often times they will put a high price on it in the hopes that a buyer won't know the true value. Just walk away if they don't want to play nice.
