Howdy Folks, It doesn't appear to my untrained eye to have been cut or damaged since minted.
The cut looks too clean, plus there is another misalignment mark, maybe.
Is there any additional value here, other than 5 cents?

Wouldn't be considered a cud coin, but it definitely appears to be a clipped planchet. Almost a twice-clipped, actually. It looks like a pretty clean clip, so I'd venture to say it's a mint error. Nice find! You might check out e-Bay to see what they're going for now.

It is a little hard to tell from the photos, but most genuine clipped planchets will display the "Blakesley effect". The Blakesley effect is characterized by a rim weakness directly opposite the main fault as well as along the edge of the clipped area. Google Blakesley effect and there are many examples on the 'net with pictures to see exactly what it looks like.
