Foreign coin--from where?

This was in the side-pocket of an old suitcase I bought at an estate sale last weekend. Can anyone tell me where its from? Looks Asian(?) The suitcase also had papers and travel memorabilia in it from Singapore and Bangkok--could it be from one of those places?

With a little research, you could ID the king's image and then learn his years of reign. Some issues of these coins were undated and only the pics of the kings can give you a ballpark idea of their age. This coin may be one called a 'baht'.

Thailand for sure i have dug a few of these while visiting family
