WOW!!! I have never seen anything like that, an Egyptian token, or some sort of middle eastern piece. If I had to guess, I would say its not a coin.

This is a coin then. Did they have holes in them like this one, and what year is it from?
I don't know what to think It came from my god mother. A family member about 150 years ago. he was a sailor.
Is it rare, and would it be worth anything?

Not necessarily; the mark could be put on anything--including souvenirs, tokens, fakes, etc.
Many sultans had their own individualized tughra; research might determine which sultan had this mark; but still not proving it's a coin.
What appears as a "Y" then an inverted "V" (at the 7 o'clock position on the coin on the left) is Arabic for 67, but I've never seen a two digit coin of this general style; only four digit dates.
I'll give you 100% speculation: the '67 is short for 1267 (Arabic) which would be the same as about (our) 1890; placed on a souvenir token as you see it. I suggest 1267 only because you mentioned having it come from an ancestor 150 years ago;otherwise, I would have guessed 1367 (1990).
Welcome to Treasure Net !!
