You mean for coin identification, coin values, coin history?

If you are talking about the first two...I like the Redbook because it includes state-issued coppers as well.

blue book is made by the same folks as Red Book. In my experience the "wholesale prices" are quite low and unrealistic

the blue book is what the coin dealer might pay you if he wants your coin -- its lower --the red is what you can expect to pay the dealer for the coin --its higher --- the differance -- is what keeps coin dealers in bussiness -- for id reasons the red book rocks --- just don't expect to get anywhere near those prices selling to a dealer and only about 80 % of full value in a private person to person sale in most cases.

my favorite is the redbook. if you want to get it cheap i got mine at walmart for $8.88. i like the blue book also to see what dealers are paying and how much profit they are making.

I got my 2008 Red Book at a bookstore. It was $19.95. Well worth the price.
